Back on the Blue Water Highway

 Docked at: Hammond Casino, Indiana

Arch is down and all spiders on board!

Zeke and I rendezvoused with Garth, Peggy and Steve on Tuesday in Windsor. We had a quick visit with Peggy's sister Janet and her family, including Reggie and Riley - two beautiful standard poodles. We drove as far as Ann Arbour, Michigan, the next day we made it to Chicago after stopping to get some charts, groceries and rum! Not in that order!  We spent Thursday chilling and went to the casino for dinner and gambling - made out OK. Friday we cleaned the boat and did laundry. Back to the casino,  don't want to talk about it! I took a bus to Walgreens, cause the taxis do not come here apparently, and bought Zeke some liver medication as his blood results indicate that there may be a problem. More pills and some vitamin E. Talk about a high maintenance dog!! Some might say delicate.!!
Today was all about getting ready to leave, we topped up the fuel tanks, got a pump out and filled the water tanks. I cut off all my nice long nails and hauled out my grubby "T" shirts for the locks tomorrow.  We have a route planned with a few options based on the locks . Barges and commercial traffic have priority over us so we may well have to wait . We only have 3 locks tomorrow and one worrisome bridge to get under! It is 19.1 feet , the arch is as low as it can go and we will keep our fingers and toes crossed!
I will try and blog every day and hopefully the wifi signal works. We are going to activate our "Spot" which is a GPS that gives our location. We have had it since Florida but never got around to starting it.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone in Canada!
