We wanted to position ourselves in a place to start the locks bright and early plus we needed to take the radar arch down as some low bridges are coming up in the next few days. We did one lock getting in here - the Federal Lock - no problem . Arrived into Waterford around 1pm and there were only a few places left at the town dock. We actually took a spot dedicated for the Canal Tour Boat. We were told that if he came back we would have to move - so we were prepared but luckily he did not show up. Free electric and water - WOW!! After getting the arch down I walked to the grocery store and did a big shop - took a taxi back and he got lost ......don't ask. In this day and age and the taxi did not have a GPS. Unloaded the groceries and we went over to Evelyn and Sids boat for a BBQ - they have a Jenn-Air on the flybridge!! Fancy eh! A huge storm went through but we were all secure at the dock.
